I wish my journal was more exciting.
I wish I could write about people spurting blood 6 feet in the air as I rushed them to the ICU. Reading simon's journal is like watching an episode of E/R.
But I guess my life really IS that mundane. I went to see the Incredibles this weekend, and its by far the funnest movie I've seen this year. I had a rolicking good time, and laughed out loud numerous times during the movie, which is rare for me.
We also went skating on Sunday which was a blast...probably the first time i've BIKED to the skating rink!
I made crepes with LT for dinner last night. We stuffed em with this yummy ham/mushroom filling...STELLAR! I really miss cooking...like ACTUALLY cooking. Friday dave and I had hot dogs and pasta. And I topped that off with a can of sardines for dessert. Yuuum-mmy!

Peeps!
I want to remind, preemptively, everyone to wish Ali a happy birthday! Happy birthday Ali!
Last weekend was pretty stellar. I hung out with Laura for the whole weekend, which I haven't done in a COONS age...we went to see Hayden on Friday(5 stars! Super terrific!) with Ali and Adam, then we basically stayed in bed all day saturday reading, playing cards, and eating(that's right, breakfast AND lunch in bed!). Talk about relaxing!
It was also mega chill to get to hang out with everyone last weekend. As always, the food at Don Juan's was spectacular...and going with lots of people means you get to try lots of dishes, which is a major bonus. Especially the bok choy.
My week was pretty mundane. A lot of sitting around really. I can't believe my work term here is almost over...and more so I can't believe I'm only a few months away from being FINISHED at UW. I really can't wait. Its looking like I'll take 2 months or so off before starting to work full time...I still really think I'm going to try to do a long bike trip, although its looking very improbable that I'll actually bike across Canada. Maybe I should aim to bike across 1 province every year or something!
I'm looking forward to Christmas. I really want to get atleast one day of snowboarding in...I'm also really looking forward to some rock solid skating, getting a potluck going, and eating a veritable truckload of ali's mom's hors d'oevres.
The skating rink at city hall here is open. I SO want to go skating. Soon.
That's all.

Here's a new one for you.
Halibut burrito. Not chicken, not steak, halibut. And you know what? Hella good.
One of the big advantages of my job is that if I work more than 10 hours in a day, and work past 8pm, I get dinner for free. So last night I went to Burrito Boyz with one of the guys...and I'm telling you, this place has the best burritos in the world. All super fresh super high quality ingredients, and some of the best hot sauce around. And since it was free as far as I was concerned, I went for the halibut, which costs $1.50 more than the chicken or the steak.
And let me tell you, while it sounds like a pretty weird idea, its actually incredibly delicious.
--
Other than that, I won $375US in a poker tournament this weekend. It made me quite happy.
Simon is coming down tomorrow, and we're going out for dessert with Murtle. Then yonny and ali are going to be in town this weekend! I'm catching a hayden concert with Laura, Ali and Adam on friday, then hopefully maxin and relaxin with the peeps during the weekend!
---
I think I need to find a book to read. Lately I've actually been busy writing a guide to investing. Its about 11 or 12 pages long right now, and is growing. Should be a good read. Anyone that wants a copy can get one when I'm finished!
---
What else what else. Squash continues to be good fun. The past few times the quality of play has been super duper high. Like some stellar squash. Work is keeping me busy...been putting in a lot of overtime. Wish I worked for a company that paid time and a half for overtime...I'd be RICH! Its fun work though, so its not too much of a hassle.
---
Bananas. Yes. Bananas. I need to pick some up tonight, along with some milk. That will be all.
