Floridia!!!

I'm off to Florida today for the first time evar! I am actually really quite excited about it - swimming, walking on the beach, alligators and presumably tons of boardgames and cards with Laura's family!! I'll be back on Tuesday if all goes according to plan and there aren't any problems with my crazy connecting flight through Charlotte.

Hung out with Chimon last night - did Indian buffet and watched '300', which I really thought was quite an excellent movie, albeit quite a gory one. At the end of the evening I left wondering if my youth spent shovelling driveways as a winter job could not have been better spend mowing lawns in the summer instead.

Easter in Odot!

Well, it's official. I'm heading back to Ottawa for the Easter long weekend. The draw of my mom's birthday cakes was too much to resist. I'm actually going to rent a car from Enterprise and give that a go - the tax-in cost(excluding insurance) is only $100 from Thursday night through Monday night, which I figured was better than Laura and I each paying $100 for the train/bus - although I'm sure the cost of gas will totally skew the end cost. I'm just excited about the prospect of bringing my stereo back to Toronto : )

My Life in 3 paragraphs or less.

I've busy busy lately - was in New York 3 weeks ago. The highlight of the trip was out team dinner at Hawaiin Tropic Zone in Times Square. We even had the Pu Pu Platter!

The following weekend I took Laura for dinner at Panorama, a restaurant up on the 51st floor of the Manulife building at Bay & Bloor. Afterwards we went to see Simon's sisters in the UofT med school Musical! It was absolutely fantastic, and very professionally done. The singing, dancing, and music were fantabulous. Way to go Chan Sisters!

This weekend I was up at Blue Mountain with friends from university for a snowboarding weekend. Two full days of boarding certainly helped me dust off my skills and by the end of the weekend I was feeling pretty "pro". Speaking of pro, last night was our company bowling tournament, 10 pin styles. In a one-on-one winner takes all battle royale against my friend Ryan, I managed to bowl a 166 consisting of 8 spares, 1 strike, and only 1 pin left standing the whole game - potentially my best game of bowling EVER! Karen Roberts, its ON!
