It's been a while...

No matter how much I convince myself that I'll "do a better job" of posting here more often, I manage fits and spurts at best. So I tend to write long, rambling postings when I do finally get around to it.

A few items of note:
- I went camping with Laura down near Point Pelee for the long weekend. Saw tons of neat birds(pics to come), managed to mostly stay warm and dry, and visited a couple of fun vineyards/wineries.

- Saw Simon; We used to spend countless hours, often during the middle of the night, sitting in cars contemplating our lives and our futures. Indian buffets now seem to be the venue of choice. Less poetic, more filling.

- Have been out jogging a few times; another thing I often try to "get into", but it never lasts. I much prefer biking, but it's not as much of a workout, and a friend threw down a challenge for a 5km(I sure as heck hope it wasn't a 10km) run.

- SENS are in the finals; this has been occupying a large portion of my free time. Wouldn't it be nice to finally have the Cup back in Canada?

- We switched from Bell/Sympatico over to Primus( $34 for landline + unlimited internet). This means I've been downloading Smallville, 24, and movies out the yang. Recently watched: Rabbit Proof Fence, Pan's Labyrinth, Stomp the Yard. Currently working on The Good German.

Pictures soon!

Look Ma, no hands!

I thought Simon, Dickie and Ali would especially appreciate this break-dancing related site. This dude has taken pictures of a bunch of breakdancers from angles so it looks like they are falling and or flying. Check it out, much cool. Arrows = next picture.

Pay phone calls to cost 50 cents

For those of us who are cellphone hold-outs and rely on pay phones, it looks like we're coming to the end of the 25 cents phone call era. The cost of a pay phone call is soon to double to 50 cents a call. I guess I'd prefer that than some strange amount like 40 cents.

Also, Sara sent me an Interac Email money transfer today( I loaned her $10 on the weekend at the Good Food show so she could buy a big, big sausage/pepperoni for Dave). Kinda cool, I just had to click on the link in the email and go through my bank's online banking site and poof, I had the money!

Speaking of the Good Food show, it was a blast and totally worth doing! It's like one of those homeshows, outdoor shows, clothing shows, etc. You pay to get in, and there are tons of booths almost all with free samples and discounted products. I ate/drank so much that by the end I was too full to keep sampling...seriously. The winner for best value purchase was....34 garlics for $1. (I went halfsies with Yonny).

Also, I've been glued to the tv the past few weeks watching Sens games. They're looking good!
