Man! Lots of action to talk about!
Last weekend was the whitewater rafting trip. For anyone that hadn't heard, I volunteered to look after putting together a trip for EngSoc. I got 36 people out for the trip, and all in all it was a really big success in my opinion! There shockingly weren't particularly any noteworthy stories, but I'll put up some pictures if/when they become available! the company we went with, RiverRun, was quite good and I'd recommend them to anyone that's looking at going rafting...pretty much all the companies run the same part of the river, in pretty much the same boats; these guys just happen to do it for close to half the price!
I went down to see Laura in Toronto on Wednesday...I was only down for like 4 waking-hours but it was super nice to see her. She's off in the Rockies with her family for the next week and a bit. Came down on the train thursday...yes, I still haven't learned my lesson -> TAKE THE BUS.
I missed hooking up with the boys for canada day festivities, but had a good time chilling with the family. Marcy is home, and its the first time I've seen her in two years! We went strawberry picking this morning, then played mini golf this afternoon. We've also had some excellent adventures trying to trap a rabbit that's been eating my parents garden. This afternoon my mom, dad and I triangulated in on it and came seriously close to catching it before it bolted under a fence. I think tomorrow will be the day!
Also in noteworthy news, my mom and I went bowling at Merivale. Man, I wish I would have camcordered it...it was gold. It was Rock'n'Bowl, and holy hannah they were BLASTING the hip hop. Like the kind of thing where you feel your lungs rattling in your chest, and I'm here bowling with my mom!
*ANYWAYS* ***KAREN THIS IS IMPORTANT*** I bowled by far my best ever game of bowling, and score a whopping 250 (5 pin). I think I had something like 6 strikes in the game! I had back to back strikes more than once! My second game I only scored like...115 or something. But the first game was magic! If only Karen and Simon had been there to witness my superhuman bowling abilities!
Hopefully tomorrow I'm going to get to hook up with the boys for some road hockey and or Risk. Then at some point when Alison gets back from visiting Adam I'm hoping to catch up with her!
My mom cut out an excellent Sara Yonson graduation thing from the Citizen. I suspect her dad snuck it in, seeing as he works there and all. Its a most attractive graduation picture!
What is Caroline doing these days? Is she in Japan yet? Or still in Germany? Has anyone heard much from Shankeroo? There's nobody here in Ottawa to play with me, and I'm all lonesome.
