For those that don't know, I use this service called "BikeShare" here in Toronto. Great deal. Basically you get free bikes from any of their 14 hubs in downtown toronto, and can borrow bikes for up to 3 days. Basically like a library...but for bikes! There just so happens to be a hub at the MEC right near my work too, so its PERFECT.

Yesterday I dropped my old bike off after lunch. At the end of the day (6:30) I went to go pick up another bike. However, the only bike they had was the one I'd dropped off earlier. As I'm walking into the store, I notice the (cute)girl that's behind the counter is the same girl I'd dropped the bike off with only hours before. For whatever reason I was suddenly overcome with, I guess the best word is, embarassment. I decided I'd pick a bike up at another hub, and promptly did a 180 and walked back out of the store.

After about a 10 minute walk I get to the next hub, only to discover that they have no bikes. At this point I'm almost halfway home, so decide to just walk the rest of the way. I get to the Eaton Centre and am wet and cold. I say "screw this" and decide to take the subway two stops up to College. Just as I'm getting to the subway stop, a train pulls up. I run to pay my money, and catch the train. Only once the doors close do I realize I've gotten on the train going in the wrong direction!! So, I end up having to take the train all the way back down to Union Station so that I can get off and get back on going in the right direction! UGH. I finally made it home after almost a FULL HOUR. If I'd picked up the bike? 15 minutes. (Not to mention the saved fares and time for this morning's commute too).

Yesterday was just one of those days...
