Wow, yet another period of blog-neglect.

A lot of times I end up feeling very uninterested(disinterest?) in the whole blog thing. It feels so inpersonal sometimes...then again, I haven't exactly been the king of more personaly communication either!

School is going fairly well. Classes are mostly fairly mundane. I'm absolutely loving every second of my western history class. The prof is absolutely by and away the best prof I've had during my time at waterloo. He's a great speaker, he's obviously extremely passionate about what he does, he speaks good clear english, he interjects fun random tidbits(like how Sir Francis Bacon, a great thinker and mathie, supposedly is the guy that wrote all of shakespeare's works, AND is supposedly the guy responsible for Oak Island's treasure pit, WHICH supposedly contains...shakespeare/bacon's original works.). The whole story/anectode thing is unimaginably rare at waterloo. And catch this, dude follows up the oak island story...with a magic trick. He got abotu 50 points during Friday's lecture alone.

I really wasn't sure if I wanted to take the course or not...I knew from day one that the prof was rock rock solid, however the course has *FIVE* texts/novels. FIVE! However, I took the plunge and am unbelievably happy about it.

I'm already finished one of the books, "The Sorrows Of Young Werther". I rather enjoyed it really. Apparently it was Napoleon's favourite book. Its a "Romantic"(like the period, not like romance) novel, and it shows. Its basically about this dude that likes this chick that's already married. The book is in the form of letters, from Werther, to a friend, which makes for an interesting read. If anyone wants to borrow it, I'd gladly share it once I write up my essay on it in february.

Other than that, the major news is that I've received a full time job offer, from the place I was working on my last coop term! I'm really quite excited about it, as I very much enjoyed my term there, and think it should be a great place to work for a couple of years. I'm not a huge fan of the whole Toronto thing, but while I'm young and living in an apartment/condo, its really not so bad.

I'm probably going to be starting work at the beginning of July. That gives me half of april, may and june to play! I'm REALLY wanting to do a substantial bike trip...I've been looking at my maps of the transcanada trail, and everything looks so promising/exciting! Everything is also so far away...like to bike across just Quebec is 1000+km.

This also poses the question of me buying a new bike. I think it will be my first major purchase post graduation. I'm pretty excited about it. At the same time, it seems quite silly since I know I'm not going to be able to have it with me in Toronto more likely than not.

I hope everyone's terms are coming along well! I have absolute truckloads of free time this term, so PLEASE call me as frequently as possible. I will try to reciprocate. I would also very much like to try to get a visit in to Hamilton in the near to immediate future to see simon(and go to that sushi place downtown). And, if weather and time permit, Montreal would be a nice place to visit as well, since I didn't make it down last term. Oh, and alison, if you're reading this, I want to go see that What the Bleep movie at Princess.

That's all for now peeps!
