Stuck in the Ice Age
For anyone that missed the boat, it was my birthday yesterday - a whoppin 25 years old now. It's definitely a progression...I think I've crossed the barrier from "youth" to "adult" - I can't hardly get 'student' prices on anything anymore(although I did manage to get 2 round trip bus tickets for Waterloo just recently at student prices since my student card has an April 2006 sticker on it). Thanks to all my friends for emailing/calling...even Simon remembered!!
I celebrated in style with an indian buffet lunch, then I went out to the movies with Laura in the evening. I'd bought myself a Cineplex christmas gift pack at Christmas...it's like, for $30 you get $30 in gift certificates, plus a bunch of coupons for different restaurants, some free popcorn, and a free admission on your birthday!
We went to see Ice Age: The Meltdown. It wasn't quite as funny as the first one, but was definitely one of the funnier animated movies I've seen in a while. A good date movie.
I need to decide what to do for Easter weekend! I'm tempted to go home to Ottawa, but haven't yet booked a ticket and wouldn't be surprised if they're all sold out. Who all will be in Ottawa?
