Latest & Greatest

I've been lax in updating this thing lately.

A few major highlights:
- hit Sauble Beach last weekend for the first time. Really quite a lot nicer than Wasaga, less people, less pollution, cleaner water. Almost got into a car accident because of two of these. The car behind us got creamed by the car behind it -- luckily no one was hurt.

- Squash with my Waterloo bud Dave on Tuesday. Alas, he won 3-2, but the follow up dinner at Don Juans made me forget my woes. We really branched out and tried the deep fried wontons as well as the sesame beef -- both quite good!

- Played bridge with Dave and Sara on Wednesday. I think we've got the basics down, but it'll require a few more tries to get the bidding down to a science.

- Hit up the driving range with Laura and her dad this weekend and got my swing a bit more under control. Why, you might ask, would Greg be at the driving range? The answer: The Roderick Family Reunion 2007 and the associated golf tournament.

- Speaking of the Roderick family reunion...some of you might remember Freenet and IRC. Rob Shanks and I made friends with these two girls from Bell's Corners(out near Roblaw's) on IRC. I haven't spoken much to Dayna or Olivia in recent years, but with the advent of Facebook, I've been back in touch with Liv who has been going to school out at St Francis Xavier (better known to some as St FX). Just so happens that literally every Roderick on my dad's side has gone there for school, so I was surprised that Liv hadn't run into any of them....until Thursday. Got a message from her saying "You wouldn't believe who I met last night. Was at a bar and saw someone wearing a Roderick Family Reunion tshirt, so had to say hi". Ah the Roderick Family Reunion tshirt pulls through again.

- I totally harvested and restarted the worm compost this weekend. I felt it was due time for a clean start...that, and a couple of mites had shown up in the past week. Conclusion? I have almost a whole cool whip container full of worms. Like, 100% concentrated worm. No filler / dirt, just worm. Like several thousand worms.

Comments:
Sounds like you have been busy!

That is pretty funny about the Roderick Family Reunion t-shirt. How come I have never seen YOU wearing one?

wow, that's quite a lot of worms. Dave really looks up to your worm prowess. He gets mad at me for not cutting the food up small enough for the worms. I don't think I'll tell him about your thousands of worms, although I am impressed.
