Roderick Reunion!
Laura and I are heading out this evening to the booming metropolis of Saint John, New Brunswick. More specifically, we're heading here! Grand Bay Westfield. Sadly, the street my cottage is on doesn't make it onto Google Maps.
I've been busy this week! On the weekend Laura and I painted the bedroom again. Some of you will recall the fascinating cranberry red we had. We've switched over to Carribean Coast. It's like sky blueish. The whole process actually went very smoothly this time(much less drama than last time), and while I'm not a SUPER huge fan of the colour itself, the paint job is pretty much impeccable.
On Monday I dropped off Sara's birthday card -- boy that girl has a lot of peaches!
Tuesday, Laura and I went to Shakespeare in the Park with LT's sister, Erin. It's an annual tradition - this theater group puts on a play in High Park, with a fairly basic stage setup and seating on this hillside. They did A Midsummer Night's Dream this year, which we all rather enjoyed. This is the first year we really yuppied it up and brought dinner + wine.
Last night my work buddy Ryan and I went out to Red Violin Brazilian Steakhouse. I think I posted about a similar place I went to in New York. It's all you can eat, but with a twist. There are about 12 different meat dishes(most different kinds of beef, plus chicken(including chicken hearts, which I've never had before, and probably won't have ever again), turkey wrapped in bacon, veal, etc. The meat is served at your table by waiters who carry the meat around on these giant skewer/swords. While we were a bit worried since the online reviews we read were 'mixed'(read: bad), the place itself was stellar and turned out quite well!
Okay! Off to the Roderick Reunion!!
