First Bike Trip of the Season!
Well! Friday was the juggling class, and I think it worked out really well! There were actually 10 people there (8 new grads + 2 full timers), and by the end of the class 3 of them were doing basic 3 ball juggling really well, and 2 others were doing a couple variations of 2 balls in one hand. Woot woot! And the best part is, I think I actually managed to do a pretty convincing job of relating it to consulting and tying in a number of lessons re: professionalism / presentation, learning new skills, giving and receiving feedback, negotiating, etc.
Today Laura and I embarked on the first hobo roadtrip of 2008. I've previously biked Toronto -> Oakville, so decided I didn't need to do that leg of things again. We drove out this morning to Burlington, and I biked ~70km from Burlington to Hamilton, then from Hamilton to Brantford. We met up at McMaster for lunch, right across from the hospital. From Hamilton the ride was along a really nice rail trail - saw a few nice birds (oriole, cardinals, warblers, swallows) and got a bit too much sun. I'd expected the day to be overcast, so hadn't put on sunscreen (what was I THINKING?) - arms are red as a lobster now. I'd been planning to do Brantford to Waterloo or Guelph tomorrow, but looks like its going to rain.

Can I be a part of the Toronto -> Niagara bike ride? Especially if it's in July or August? Unless it's a romantic weekend kind of ride...
I'm currently eating whipped cream that was:
1. within the best before date
2. came out a little chunky
3. tastes ok
Only time will tell whether the bacteria or my immune system will come out on top.

biking in the rain builds character. i hope that it doesn't actually stop you from biking! i'm pretty sure you won't melt!
let me know when you're hitting prince edward county on your bike tour... i'll join!
i just finished a few spoonfuls of the replacement all-natural peanut butter that i got! it does not have the same funny congeled look that the first jar did! i view this as good.
