Need a computer?
Work is having an auction for some of our older laptops and desktops...they're "older" for us but are still pretty beefy solid machines.
If anyone's looking for a new computer on the relatively cheap, let me know and I'll see what I can hook up.

how much for a decent laptop that won't overheat every 20minutes and can actually be used on a lap without inducing a painful burning sensation?
what? that's not normal?
i have a laptop that can't operate unless plugged into a wall and has virtually no RAM, but it doesn't burn me. if you're interested i can give you a good deal on it.

There's 6-8 different laptops, mostly various Dell Inspiron models between 5100 and 8100.
I'd guess they've been used for ~2 years on average. The one thing from looking at them is that they seem a little thicker / heavier than the Thinkpad that I use, so if you were going to carry it around with you everywhere it might not be the best.
The bidding is currently in the $125-$150 range.
