I think I've finally figured it out.

Its true.

I'm a hopeless romantic.

I'm absolutely HOOKED on Smallville. Yah, the TV show...I'm now on Episode 4, Season 1...and I CAN'T STOP.

The reason? The witty beauties, Kristen Kreuk and Allie Mac.

Does this remind you of another obsession in my life? Namely one Katie Holmes, of Dawson's Creek fame?

Indeed, I think I've got a special place in my heart of the beatiful brunettes with the incredible eyes, the wonderful smiles, the strong personalities and the brilliant comments.

Kinda reminds me someone I know...

I'm in love.

No, its not what you're thinking.

I'm TOTALLY in love with the Stars. I've been listening to this music non-stop for days now. Its SO much fun, while maintaining a nice amount of mellow/chillaxedness to it.

The concert last night was absolutely fantabulous. The club the show was it is quite new, and was pretty cozy and fun. It had a whole retro thing going on, but not like sleazy run-down retro, like a nice "Ikea of the 70s and 80s" kind of feel. The had the coolest fake retro fireplace. And candles on every table...

Ali and I got there early, and literally were front row center. For the first ten minutes of the show I was seriously concerned that the main singer guy, who was clearly drunk off his tree, would topple over onto us. HOWEVER, despite his total drunkenness, they were remarkably stellar in terms of singing/instrument playing...

So I think its fair to say that we were all having the time of our lives bopping away in the front row...until these two loud, drunk, obnoxious and overweight chickies came stumbling up and literally shoved me out of they saying something like "OH MY GOD! You *HAVE* to DANCE in the FRONT ROW". They preceeded to drunkenly stumble around screaming and waving their arms in the air like they were on stage witnessing miracles by Benny Hinn. I would have been perfectly fine with it, except they were repeatedly bumping into me and stepping on my toes.

At one point they both kind of stumbled over a bit in one direction, so I snuck back in next to Ali, and in front of the girls. They were none too pleased, but eventually gave up and disappeared back into the crowd, and I think everyone up front was much relieved.

Anyways, yes, the show kicked major ass. Thanks Alicat!

On another note...

I had the funniest dream...woke up in a TOTAL panic at 5am(this hasn't happened to me in a LONG time)...I was part of a play/musical. And I was the lead male actor...the opening sequence of the play was just beginning, and there was a HUGE audience.

There must have been 20 'showgirls' doing this big song and dance number, and I KNOW that I was supposed to burst out at the end, and have this VERY funny, very witty and very dramatic opening line that was supposed to set the whole musical off on the right foot...

and I was back stage, totally freaking out, because I hadn't EVER read my lines over, and I had NO idea what I was supposed to say! And just as the girls were wrapping up their song, that's when I woke up...I must have spent atleast 5 minutes awake trying to figure out what it was I was supposed to say!

Let me tell you...I am SO excited!

Tonight is the Stars concert. I'm going with Ali. I think it should be a really mellow and chill show and I'm pretty frikkin stoked about it!

The weekend was good. Went down to Toronto to hang out with LT. Holy moses it was cold though! We went for an adventure up near St Clair and Spadina Rd, and like...holy hannah I don't know the last time that I was THAT cold!

I'm disappointed that I missed Sara's rockstar boyfriend's show...but really, STARTING at 12:30!? I can't stay up that late! However, I've downloaded some of their songs and am relatively impressed! Good work Sara's Rockstar Boyfriend!

What else what else? I'm hoping to play in a squash tournament this saturday...should be good!

I think that we need to get cooler nicknames for ourselves. Things with more zing, more snap. I think the best nicknames to date have been "Dirty D" and "Daddy D".

What ever happened to the squirrel nut zippers?

I've just watched the movie "Finding Neverland". My goodness it was spectacular...I can't really find the words for it. It certainly wasn't an epic blockbuster, and I doubt it will win any awards, but it was a really touching, well made movie, that managed to take me back to what it was like to be a kid, if only for an hour or two.

And I think, more than anything else, it helped me remember, that really, at the end of it all, I AM still a kid. We all are. And that's the point.

There is no absolute truth!

So. This post starts with my saying...if you've never played Trial Bike you don't know the meaning of frustration. The link there, that's to "Basic"...its not too bad.."Pro", now that's hard. I have an illegal link to illicitly downloadable versions of this game, so if you are interested in pirating this software, please let me know and I'll think about poiting you in the right direction.

Here's the thing.

I was walking about 20 minutes off of campus this morning to get the poster printed for my fourth year design symposium...and holy moses mother alive it was FREEZING. Like, I had my jacket/toque pulled up/down so my eyes were barely exposed, and I was STILL freezing.

As I'm walking past the student life centre...there's this dude...standing there...in boxers and nothing else, with a sign saying "There is no absolute truth. You only BELIEVE it is -10 out."

Wow. What a pointless way to freeze your nuts off.

Wow, yet another period of blog-neglect.

A lot of times I end up feeling very uninterested(disinterest?) in the whole blog thing. It feels so inpersonal sometimes...then again, I haven't exactly been the king of more personaly communication either!

School is going fairly well. Classes are mostly fairly mundane. I'm absolutely loving every second of my western history class. The prof is absolutely by and away the best prof I've had during my time at waterloo. He's a great speaker, he's obviously extremely passionate about what he does, he speaks good clear english, he interjects fun random tidbits(like how Sir Francis Bacon, a great thinker and mathie, supposedly is the guy that wrote all of shakespeare's works, AND is supposedly the guy responsible for Oak Island's treasure pit, WHICH supposedly contains...shakespeare/bacon's original works.). The whole story/anectode thing is unimaginably rare at waterloo. And catch this, dude follows up the oak island story...with a magic trick. He got abotu 50 points during Friday's lecture alone.

I really wasn't sure if I wanted to take the course or not...I knew from day one that the prof was rock rock solid, however the course has *FIVE* texts/novels. FIVE! However, I took the plunge and am unbelievably happy about it.

I'm already finished one of the books, "The Sorrows Of Young Werther". I rather enjoyed it really. Apparently it was Napoleon's favourite book. Its a "Romantic"(like the period, not like romance) novel, and it shows. Its basically about this dude that likes this chick that's already married. The book is in the form of letters, from Werther, to a friend, which makes for an interesting read. If anyone wants to borrow it, I'd gladly share it once I write up my essay on it in february.

Other than that, the major news is that I've received a full time job offer, from the place I was working on my last coop term! I'm really quite excited about it, as I very much enjoyed my term there, and think it should be a great place to work for a couple of years. I'm not a huge fan of the whole Toronto thing, but while I'm young and living in an apartment/condo, its really not so bad.

I'm probably going to be starting work at the beginning of July. That gives me half of april, may and june to play! I'm REALLY wanting to do a substantial bike trip...I've been looking at my maps of the transcanada trail, and everything looks so promising/exciting! Everything is also so far away...like to bike across just Quebec is 1000+km.

This also poses the question of me buying a new bike. I think it will be my first major purchase post graduation. I'm pretty excited about it. At the same time, it seems quite silly since I know I'm not going to be able to have it with me in Toronto more likely than not.

I hope everyone's terms are coming along well! I have absolute truckloads of free time this term, so PLEASE call me as frequently as possible. I will try to reciprocate. I would also very much like to try to get a visit in to Hamilton in the near to immediate future to see simon(and go to that sushi place downtown). And, if weather and time permit, Montreal would be a nice place to visit as well, since I didn't make it down last term. Oh, and alison, if you're reading this, I want to go see that What the Bleep movie at Princess.

That's all for now peeps!
